LOST party

We had a LOST slumber/viewing party for Season 3. It went exceedingly well. I can’t believe we crammed that many people into our living room. I decorated our place with jungle ivy, an inflatable palm tree, a polar bear, plastic bugs, a fishing net (?), etc. We gave out Dharma Station and Oceanic Airlines canvas tote bags as trivia prizes. Olivia made AWESOME fish biscuit-sugar cookies:

When I told my nephew Mason about my new job, he offered this:

“You should work on improving the structure of the Bionicle website, and also you should make the games easier. Also, can you fix the website for the new Transformers? It does not work very good.”

He’s the only member of my family who automatically “gets” what I do for a living now. He’s 9.

Hello 2008, Christmas in Louisiana

Happy New Year to all! Hope everyone had a pleasant holiday. I am still reeling from all the hush puppies I ate in Louisiana. A few highlights: holding my niece Ava for the first time, teaching Mason how to use his RC helicopter, the Shaw Center in Baton Rouge, dancing with all my college buddies at Star 80, shopping in the French Quarter, catfish poboys, my mother’s crawfish elegante over penne pasta, the LSU Rural Life Museum, and setting off some killer ordinance in our backyard on New Year’s.

Please enjoy the following images. Full sets here and here (black & whites).

OMG SPARKLERZ

Looks like 2008 is going to be a good one! I’ve accepted a position at a large web consulting firm that is Boston-based, but has opened an office in San Francisco. I start the day before Mardi Gras, actually!

Where Am I?
