Louisiana, Lubitel, Leica

Spring is definitely here, and not a moment too soon. I’ve been fairly knee-deep in school projects and work stuff, but I did find some time to escape to Bodega Bay for a weekend, and then Louisiana for a week to visit family and recharge.

I spent most of my time in Bodega Bay staring at the ocean, and playing with my new Leica D-Lux3 that I got for practically nothing on CraigsList. Visiting Louisiana also gave me a chance to further test out my other new baby: a Lubitel 166+. So far its been an adjustment, both to re-learning how to focus and finding the patience to wait 3 or 4 whole days before I see the results! Everything is so instantaneous now… its no wonder that a third of web users can only devote about 30 seconds to a site. I’m still getting the hang of it, but here’s a few examples. Enjoy:
